WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN A SUNDAY SCHOOL GROWTH GROUP?

Every Sunday morning at Friendly Avenue, individuals meet in small groups to explore and discover the truths the Bible has for their everyday lives. Friendly Avenue is a large church in both facilities and numbers, and it is through Sunday School that we demonstrate our personal interest for and ministry to everyone. Sunday School is the vital link between Friendly Avenue and individuals. Genuine ministry, support, community, and spiritual growth naturally result from involvement in a Sunday School class. The purpose of Sunday School is to teach believers and reach unbelievers through Bible study growth groups so that they all may become more like Jesus Christ in their thoughts, feelings, speech, and actions.

1. Choose a time.

Consider each of the following combinations Friendly Avenue offers and choose one that fits your schedule:
Combo #1: 8:15 Worship & 9:30 Sunday School
Combo #2: 9:15 Contemporary Worship & 10:45 Sunday School
Combo #3: 9:30 Sunday School & 10:45 Worship

2. Choose a group.

Again, choosing a group involves looking for your age group and then finding the right class for you. You can even try different groups for several weeks until you find one that best fits you.

3. Locate the small group meeting place.

Use the map, located toward the back of this booklet, to find your small group’s meeting place. Guests are always welcome to attend, and we look forward to meeting you!
