I attended Miami Dade Jr. College planning to be a teacher but as life has it, my plans changed.

I have 3 daughters, 1 son, and 6 grandchildren.
When did you come to Friendly Avenue?
I came to work at FABC in April of 1985. I thought I would be here a short time but I fell in love with the people and my job.
What verse best encompasses your life and ministry?
I Corinthians 13:4 is one of my favorite Bible verses. “Love is patient, love is kind”.
Who has most influenced and inspired you in your life and ministry?
I have always admired Billy Graham. As a teenager, I attended one of his Crusades in Atlanta, GA. I went to the front of the stadium along with hundreds of people and received a blessing that is always with me.
What activities do you enjoy?
My favorite activities are kayaking with my grandson (no, I am not athletic), reading, walking and spending time with my grandchildren.
What are some of your favorite books?
My favorite book is “Gone with the Wind”. My cousin and I saw it at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA four times. The first time we only had 1 Kleenex between us. The next time we took a whole box. I also like the authors, James Patterson, Ann Rivers Siddons, Joshilyn Jackson.

What activities do you enjoy most in your ministry at FABC?
I really enjoy interacting with the wonderful people at Friendly. I am blessed also, to work with the best staff, ever. My duties are varied. I never know what is in store for me when I come to work; Therefore, I always (most of the time) have a delightful surprise. I laughingly say that I am everyone’s secretary. |
