B.S. in Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate - UNC Greensboro
Currently pursuing an M.Div. in Worship Leadership - Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

My wife, Brianna, and I have been married since June 13, 2009.
When did you come to Friendly Avenue?
Born and raised in the church, became a member in 1995, and joined the staff in February of 2007.
What verse best encompasses your life and ministry?
Psalm 33:3
Who has most influenced and inspired you in your life and ministry?
TONS of people... but specifically Bri (my lovely wife), Rev. Trey Cates, Erik Petersen, my Uncle Simeon, my parents, my sisters, my brothers-in-law, and all the people at Friendly Avenue who have taught me and supported me over the years.
What is a little known fact about you?
I always wanted to be a cartoonist as a kid until God put a guitar in my hands.
What activities do you enjoy?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, music (listening, playing, and writing), Wii bowling and tennis, board games, skiing, camping/hiking, fishing, and having company over to visit.
Besides the Father, Son, and Spirit, who is your favorite biblical character?
I’d have to say Paul, his humility and service to the church always inspires me.

The Bible... always a good read

What activities do you enjoy most in your ministry at FABC?
Leading music in our 9:15 celebration service and teaching younger guys and girls how to be skilled musicians for the glory of God! |
