I have been married to Jerrold Simmons since April 2006. We have two young sons, Eli who is 19 months old and Knox who is 6 months old.
When did you come to Friendly Avenue?
Jerrold and I came to Friendly Avenue in the spring of 2007 and we joined the church in September of the same year.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Who has most influenced and inspired you in your life and ministry?
My Mom, Cindy Strader, has most inspired me in my life and ministry. She instilled in me at a very young age to always put God first and serve him above all others. She has never wavered in her faith and is the most Christ-like person I know.
What is a little known fact about you?
I am an avid Carolina Basketball fan, and have an unhealthy obsession with college basketball.
What activities do you enjoy?
I enjoy anything that involves time with my family. I am a stay at home Mom and I especially enjoy activities like the Science Center and Children’s Museum because it is so much fun to see the boys having a good time.
Besides the Father, Son, and Spirit, who is your favorite biblical character?
My favorite biblical character is David.

What activities do you enjoy most in your ministry at FABC?
Being a part of the children’s ministry has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people that make up Friendly Avenue, especially the children. I am uplifted each Sunday morning by their smiles and excitement. The children’s ministry is blessed to have so many wonderful workers and I am so encouraged by their faithfulness and willingness to serve. |
